We know teens can be picky! There are very few things you can suggest as a parent without getting some sort of attitude tossed back at you. Wisconsin Dells is full of different places where you can spend time together as a family while still offering some fun for everyone. That’s why we’ve compiled an itinerary for you and your teen for a guaranteed fun day in the Dells.
Start your day off with a visit to Starbucks! Nothing attracts teens more than a seasonal drink or latte to wake them up! Some like Pumpkin Spice while others prefer vanilla. Starbucks serves two locations in the Dells area; across from Buffalo Phil’s at 75 Gasser Road and at 320 Hwy 13, just before the Downtown Dells Bridge.
After getting fueled up with Starbucks, it’s time to head to the waterparks! Wisconsin Dells is home to the largest concentration of waterparks in America, and lucky for you, a good number of them are …INDOORS!! That means it can be cold, rainy, or even snowy outside but the waterparks are warm, wet, and full of fun! You could spend hours playing in the wave pools, lazy rivers, and going down water slides and rides!
Since you’ve worked up an appetite in the waterparks, I’d recommend taking a lunch break and replenishing your energy by enjoying the daily lunch buffet at Pizza Pub. Beside delicious pizza and pasta, the buffet includes a 50-item soup & salad bar with items even the pickiest teen will enjoy!
When lunch is over, a great early afternoon activity that has become a huge trend in the past year is an Escape Room! Located right next to Pizza Pub, Elusive Escape Rooms features 6 different themed rooms of all levels of difficulty. Look online to see which would be more entertaining and fun for you and your teen. Be sure to escape in 60 minutes, or face the shame of your picture taken for Facebook!
After the escape room, it’s time for a snack. Two Scoops Ice Cream at Bobbers Island Grill offers 24 different unique flavors for that sweet treat you’re craving! Don’t forget to add the toppings!
Just down the street, you’ll find Outlets at the Dells. This mall has over 50 stores for varying from clothing to home, shoes and more. Let your teen pick out a new outfit and you’re sure to get on their good side!
When the shopping is done, it’s time for dinner! Buffalo Phil’s Pizza & Grille features delicious pizza, rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, and more as well as a salad bar to keep mom happy! At Buffalo Phil’s, food is delivered table-side by a toy train! You have to see it to believe it!
